Yours was one of the nicest friendliest festival I’ve ever attended. You treated paraticipants so thoughtfully, and you considered every possible detail. Poets, if you’re ever invited to the Kendal Poetry Festival, say yes urgently. Or just go there as an audience participator.

This is a really beautiful festival. I love the audience, so warm, receptive and engaged. My best enjoyment at the festival is the set up of the reading. I loved the fact that the main readers were broken up into two halves, as an audience member it gave me space to hear a lot of work from the poet, including new work, contemporary, and from their backlog.

Love the inclusivity and prominence of young people - great diversity of poets.

Thank you so much for a truly wonderful weekend. As an audience member, it was a glorious time with birdsong and light air twittering in the backgrounds of readings, but sharp clear poetry coming through the speakers, and a real sense of community in the audience increasing across the whole weekend. As one of the poets, that audience seemed so warm and receptive and friendly – it was a great experience.
